Suzuki Katana Design

Suzuki Katana: What’s underneath the skin?

The Suzuki Katana has a similar powertrain to the venerable GSX-R1000 K5, albeit in a more modern design. The six-speed transmission is mated to the 999 cc inline four-cylinder engine, which produces 150 bhp at 11,000 rpm and 106 Nm of torque at 9250 rpm. The 43 mm KYB fully adjustable front forks and a linkage-style mono-shock at the back of the Katana suspend the frame. Brembo is responsible for the braking system, which features four-piston calipers that are radially placed on twin 310mm discs up front and a single disc at the rear.
Suzuki Katana Features

The Katana comes with technological aids like low RPM help, a bi-directional quick-shifter, a ride-by-wire throttle system, and traction control with five modes (which may be completely turned off). You also have an LCD instrument cluster that can be adjusted for brightness and provides simple but enough information.
