his achievement showcases Tata Motors' commitment to excellence and its belief in the Tiago's continued success in the market.

Tata Motors, one of India's leading automobile manufacturers, has proudly announced that it has reached a significant milestone in the Indian market. The company has successfully sold an impressive 500,000 units of its popular hatchback, the Tiago. Notably, the last 100,000 units were sold within a span of just 15 months, highlighting the model's enduring popularity.
At a starting price of ₹ 5.60 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tiago is currently the most affordable car in Tata Motors' lineup. The model's price range extends up to ₹ 8.11 lakh (ex-showroom), offering customers a wide variety of options to choose from. With its competitive pricing, the Tiago has emerged as a favoured choice among budget-conscious car buyers in India.
Tata Motors offers the Tiago with three powertrain options to cater to the diverse needs of consumers. The petrol and compressed natural gas (CNG) variants are equipped with a 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine. This powertrain generates a maximum power output of 84 bhp and a peak torque of 113 Nm.
Customers can opt for either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). However, the CNG variant is available only with a manual gearbox. It is worth noting that the power output in the CNG mode is slightly reduced to 72 bhp and 95 Nm.
In addition to the petrol and CNG variants, Tata Motors also offers the Tiago in an electric version, known as the Tiago EV. This eco-friendly variant provides two battery pack options, giving consumers flexibility and choice. The smaller battery pack has a capacity of 19.2 kWh and claims a driving range of 250 km. Meanwhile, the larger battery pack offers a capacity of 24 kWh and claims an extended driving range of 315 km.
Performance-wise, the Tiago EV with the smaller battery pack features a 45 kW electric motor, delivering a torque of 110 Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in just 6.2 seconds. On the other hand, the Tiago EV equipped with the larger battery pack boasts a 55 kW electric motor, producing 114 Nm of torque, and accelerates from 0 to 60 kmph in an impressive 5.7 seconds.
Mr. Vinay Pant, the Head of Marketing at Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., expressed his thoughts on this remarkable achievement. He stated, "The Tiago has played a pivotal role in bolstering the popularity of our New Forever range since its launch.
The Tiago has consistently surpassed expectations by offering discerning customers good styling, unrivalled safety standards, and state-of-the-art technology, thereby reshaping the landscape of the hatch segment."
He further added, "Exceeding the momentous milestone of the 500k sales mark is a resounding testament to Tata Motors' unwavering commitment to excellence. We extend our sincerest gratitude to our esteemed customers for their continued interest. We are certain that the Tiago will continue to be crucial to the success of the New Forever range and the growth of the segment."
With Tata Motors celebrating the sale of half a million units of the Tiago, the company's dedication to delivering quality vehicles at an affordable price point is evident. As the Ti
