Tesla is Serious About Its Plans to Establish Manufacturing Plant in India, Says Elon Musk

Elon Musk, the CEO of the world’s largest electric car maker, Tesla, said that the company is more likely to finalize the location by the end of this year for setting up its manufacturing plant in India.
In a given interview statement, when he was questioned if Tesla is interested in India setting up a new manufacturing plant, Musk said, “Absolutely.”

A week before, senior executives of Tesla came to India to meet with Indian government officials, where they proposed their idea to set up a new manufacturing facility. However, they didn’t mention anything about investment and location.
Earlier, the country’s deputy minister for technology said that Tesla is serious about its vision to set up a manufacturing plant in India.
Tesla has already announced it will establish its Gigafactory in Mexico as part of its efforts to boost global output and expand its share in the world market.
The CEO of Tesla mentioned they would probably select a location for setting up its new factory in India by this year.
Musk also said that he had found a successor to the board so that, in the worst-case scenarios, that person could run the company. He added that he had told board members that the recommended person would take over if something unexpected happens.
