Hyundai Exter is in demand which led to extending its period for up to one year from five to six months.

Waiting period for Hyundai Exter extends to 1 year

Hyundai Motor India Limited has introduced the Exter micro-SUV in the Indian market, positioning it as a crucial launch after the successful Creta. With soaring demand, the waiting period for certain variants has reached up to 1 year, making it a highly anticipated offering.

Seven Variants to Choose From:

The Exter is available in seven variants - EX, EX(O), S, S(O), SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect. Starting at ₹6 lakh and reaching ₹10.10 lakh (ex-showroom and introductory), the Exter competes with Tata Punch and Maruti Suzuki Fronx and targets Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Renault Kiger, Citroen C3, and Nissan Magnite due to its strategic market positioning.

Powertrain Options:

Hyundai offers the Exter with both petrol and CNG powertrains. The engine is a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated unit, generating 81.86 bhp of power and 113.8 Nm of torque. In CNG mode, these figures reduce to 68 bhp and 95.2 Nm, providing smooth performance with max power at 6,000 rpm and peak torque at 4,000 rpm.

Transmission Options:

The petrol variants come with a choice of a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT, both offering seamless gear shifts and minimal head nod. The CNG variants are available with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Safety First:

The Hyundai Exter sets a new standard in safety features. All variants come equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors, central locking, seat belt reminders, high-speed alert, and emergency stop signals. Higher variants add Electronic Stability Control, rear parking camera, Vehicle Stability Management, and Hill Start Assist for enhanced safety.

CarBike360 Says:

With its competitive pricing, versatile variants, and top-notch safety features, the Hyundai Exter aims to make a significant impact in the micro-SUV segment, challenging its rivals and setting a new benchmark for safety in its class.
