• The Carens Clavis EV made its entry into the Indian EV market on the 15th of July, 2025.

• On the front of the Clavis EV, customers can witness the signature “digital tiger face” grille reimagined in a closed-off configuration.

• The Clavis EV is available in two battery options, which are the 2 kWh standard battery pack or a larger 51.4 kWh long-range battery.
• The Carens Clavis EV applies Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities.
• The 51.4 kWh battery option generates a power output of 169 bhp and a torque of 255 Nm.
• The 42 kWh battery option generates an approximate power output of 133-135 bhp and a torque of 255 Nm.
• Charging the 51.4 kWh battery fully using an 11 kW AC home charger takes approximately 4 hours and 45 minutes.
• Charging the same using a 100 kW DC fast charger brings the battery from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes.
• Charging the 42 kWh battery fully using an 11 kW AC takes about 4 hours.

• The EV also features an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist System (BAS), which optimise braking performance.
• Other safety features include a tire pressure monitoring system, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, ISOFIX child seat anchors, hill start assist (HSA), hill descent control (HDC), and all-wheel disc brakes.

The Clavis EV also offers a level 2 ADAS suite of autonomous features, and the main ones are:

• Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go functionality, which automatically adjusts vehicle speed to maintain a safe distance in traffic, including handling stop-and-go conditions smoothly.
• Forward Collision Warning and Avoidance Assist (FCW & FCA), which warns drivers of imminent collisions and can initiate autonomous braking to mitigate or avoid impacts with vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and even at junctions.
• Lane Keep Assist (LKA) actively provides steering input to keep the vehicle centred in its lane.
• Blind Spot Collision Warning (BCW) and Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist (RCTA) bring situational awareness by alerting drivers to hazards in blind spots and rear cross traffic, respectively, and applying brakes autonomously if necessary.
• Driver Attention Warning monitors driver behaviour to detect signs of drowsiness or inattention and issues notifications.
• The additional safety features are 360-degree camera views and front and rear parking sensors, which provide visual feedback around the car to avoid obstacles and assist in tight spaces.
• The surround view monitor improves confidence in complex parking environments.
