As November starts, automakers nationwide, including Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, MG Motor India, and Mahindra, have started reporting their sales data for October 2023. Here is the latest update on car sales data for October.

Mahindra and Mahindra

Mahindra Auto reported the highest-ever sales for October, totaling 43,708 units, with a growth of 36%. The company also achieved the highest monthly sales, registering 80,679 vehicles. In October 2022, the company had a total sales of 61,114 units, including 32,298 in the PV segment. However, the export figures of Mahindra Auto have declined by 33% to 1854 units from 2755 units.

Hyundai

Hyundai India registered a total sales of 68728 units in October 2023. The automaker generated 55,128 units of domestic sales while it exported 13,600 units in international markets.

Tata Motors

Tata Motors sold 82,954 vehicles against 78,335 units in October 2022, marking a 5.9% sales increase. In the commercial vehicle segment, the automaker also saw positive growth; it sold 34,317 units of commercial-grade vehicles against 32,912 units last year.

Maruti Suzuki

With the best-selling cars like Maruti Alto and Suzuki Swift, Maruti Suzuki reported total sales of 1.99 lakh units, 21% up from 1.47 lakh units in October 2022. The automaker made a record export of 21,951 units, which was 20,448 units last year for the same month.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor

Toyota reported a strong performance in October with a staggering sales figure of 21,879 units, showcasing a sharp increase of 66% compared to 13,143 units in October 2022. The automaker sold 20,542 units in the domestic market and exported 1,337 units.

MG Motor India

MG Motor India’s car sales report for October 2023 is out, and it has reported the sales of 5,108 passenger vehicles, registering an increase of 16.96% compared to last year for the same period. The automaker sold flagship models like MG Comet, MG Astor, MG Hector, Hector Plus, ZS EV, and Gloster. In October 2022, MG Motors monthly sales were reported at 4,367 units. According to the latest data, the EVs accounted for 25% of its October sales.
