Hardcore KTM 390 Rally edition ADV spotted testing

Going by the spy shots, KTM Austria seems to be in the works to introduce an extreme 373cc Rally adventure model derived from the next-gen KTM 390 Adventure .

The latest motorcycle spotting near KTM factory Austria, disclose a new single-cylinder bike. It is yet to ascertain or conclude what type of KTM model is expected to go public. However, the spy shots suggest this KTM motorcycle has the engine and chassis frame akin to the one available in the new-gen KTM Duke 390.

The spotted KTM bike's look and stance gives the impression of an off-roader, compared to the Adventure KTM 390, hence given all the clues, we can expect that the new generation 390 fleet might also bring a KTM 390 Rally edition motorcycle.

If certain reports are to be believed, this motorcycle may not be unveiled as a KTM but rather be launched under the latest GasGas range. In 2019, Pierer Mobility, parent firm of KTM, had bought the Spanish company GasGas, and recently they revealed the enduro and supermoto models derived from the KTM 690 model.

Well, in terms of the supposed KTM Rally bike's exterior, the front fender is raised, headlamp is stacked and the overall style is similar to the KTM Rally 450.

The KTM Rally test model gets a new swingarm which makes it different from the new generation KTM Duke 390, however the chassis and engine are same.

The spied KTM Rally model gets 21-inch and 18-inch wheels respectively, and a WP suspension system. The pictures suggest that it's not being developed as a concept or experiment model, rather a full-fledged production motorcycle for the market.

Certainly, like all KTM 390 bikes manufactured in India, this too will be produced in the country, but it's too soon to guess when, and what will be the target market. And also whether it'd be a GasGas model or KTM 390 Rally version.
