Hero MotoCorp Sales in March 2024 reached 4.9 Lakh Units

Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest 2W manufacturer in volume, ended March 2024 on a positive note with significant year-on-year (YoY) and month-on-month (MoM) growth across most aspects. Despite a slight YoY decline in motorcycle sales, the company showcased robust growth in its scooter segment and international markets.

Hero YoY Sales Performance

• Motorcycle sales declined by 6.38% YoY, totaling 4,56,724 units in March 2024, compared to 4,85,896 units in March 2023.
• Scooter sales witnessed a marginal increase of 0.73% YoY, reaching 33,691 units in March 2024, compared to 33,446 units in March 2023.
• Overall sales experienced a 5.5% YoY decline, with total units sold amounting to 4,90,415 in March 2024, compared to 5,19,342 in March 2023.
• Domestic sales declined by 8.6% YoY, while exports surged by 87.56% YoY, indicating a significant international growth trajectory.

Hero YTD Sales Performance

• Hero's year-to-date (YTD) sales for FY 23-24 exhibited positive growth, with motorcycle sales increasing by 4.6% and scooter sales soaring by 16.6% compared to the previous fiscal year.
• The company achieved a total sales figure of 56,21,455 units in FY 23-24, reflecting a 5.4% growth over FY 22-23.
• Domestic sales and exports also recorded positive growth rates of 5.13% and 16.3%, respectively, highlighting a balanced performance in both domestic and international markets.
