Hyundai Ioniq 5 unveil on 20, December 2022: Grand Vitara & Hyryder to get CNG variants

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder to Launch in December 2022

Two new models will be introduced in the last two weeks of December 2022, as well as an electric vehicle. While Maruti Suzuki and Toyota Kirloskar Motor will release CNG versions of its Grand Vitara and Hyryder SUVs, Hyundai Motor India will unveil its flagship Ioniq 5 electric crossover on December 20, 2022. Here is some crucial information about the three new models listed above.

HYUNDAI IONIQ 5

Official reservations for the new Ioniq 5 electric crossover will also commence on December 20th, 2022. The model would be available in India as a CBU (Completely Built-Up Unit), with a price tag of roughly Rs 60 lakh. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 might be supplied with a 72.6kWh and a 58kWh battery pack option based on the brand's E-GMP platform. While the former has a range of roughly 384km, the latter has a range of 481km on a single charge. It is available with either an RWD or an AWD system. The new Hyundai electric crossover will include ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) as well as V2L (Vehicle 2 Load), a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, a 12.3-inch touchscreen system, and other amenities.

MARUTI GRAND VITARA CNG/TOYOTA HYRYDER CNG

CNG versions of the recently introduced Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder SUVs are expected to hit the market in December 2022. However, the actual debut date has yet to be confirmed. Toyota has already begun accepting pre-orders for the Hyryder CNG variant, starting at Rs 25,000. The 1.5L normally aspirated petrol engine in both CNG SUVs will be combined with a factory-fitted CNG kit. A similar arrangement is currently available on the XL6, which has a stated mileage of 26.32km/kg. The Maruti Grand Vitara CNG and Toyota Hyryder CNG will only be offered a 5-speed manual transmission. Both SUVs will be the first in their respective segments to provide CNG fuel.
