The Maruti Suzuki cars will see a price hike of up to 4% from April 2025. The carmaker stated that the increased cost of input and operation has led to an increase in the pricing of their vehicles
While March is known for attractive discount offers and benefits for car buyers, the start of April hints at the increased pricing for models available for sale in the Indian market. Following the same trend, several automobile manufacturers have announced price hikes for their offerings from April. All these brands stated the primary reasons for rising input costs and ongoing innovation, requiring customers to pay more for new cars in India. Let's look at the cost of your favorite brand's car for the upcoming financial year.
Maruti Suzuki is one of the major carmakers in India, with around 42% of the market share in the passenger vehicle segment. It's the first carmaker that announced a recent price hike on models offered under its portfolio. The Maruti Suzuki cars will see a price hike of up to 4% from April 2025. The carmaker stated that the increased cost of input and operation has led to an increase in the pricing of their vehicles. However, the price hike will depend on the model and variant. The current lineup of Suzuki includes the Alto K10, Wagon R, Grand Vitara, Brezza, Baleno, and Invicto.
Tata has announced the second price hike for its passenger vehicle lineups since the start of this year. However, the Indian automobile brand hasn't disclosed the percentage of the price hike, but previously, it increased the showroom price for its vehicles by up to 3%. The new prices will apply to all 13 models available under the brand's portfolio, including Nexon, Tiago, Curvv EV, and Altroz.
Mahindra is another popular brand in the Indian passenger vehicle market, and it has also announced a price hike for its vehicles. From April 2025, all Mahindra SUVs, including the Thar, Scorpio, Bolero, and XUV 700, will see a price hike of up to 3%.
