Maruti Fronx CNG Prices

Maruti Fronx CNG: Maruti Suzuki Fronx has introduced an S-CNG powertrain for the Fronx. It will be sold in two models: Sigma and Delta. They are priced at Rs 8.41 lakh and Rs 9.27 lakh, respectively.

Both prices are showroom exit prices. Maruti claims a fuel efficiency of 28.51 km/kg. The Fronx CNG will compete with the recently launched Hyundai Exter CNG.

Maruti Suzuki currently has the largest portfolio of compressed natural gas vehicles. They have sold more than 1.4 million S-CNG vehicles in the Indian market. There are 15 CNG models on sale so far. When the manufacturer decided to launch the diesel engine, they started promoting the CNG drivetrain.

Engine and Transmission

Fronx CNG has the same 1.2-liter, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine. Maximum power output is 88.50 bhp at 6,000 rpm, and maximum torque is 113 Nm at 4,400 rpm. When using the CNG, power output drops to 76 bhp at 6,000 rpm and torque output to 98.5 Nm at 4,300 rpm. The CNG drivetrain is only paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

For the pure petrol Fronx, in addition to the 5-speed manual gearbox, the 1.2-liter engine is also available with a 5-speed AMT. Maruti Suzuki also equips the Fronx with the Baleno RS' 1.0-liter BoosterJet engine.

It has a maximum output of 98 horsepower and a maximum torque of 148 Nm. It is paired with a 5-speed manual transmissionor a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
