Volvo XC40 Discontinued in India, Now EV Option Available

The XC40 SUV was powered by a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine coupled with a 48V mild-hybrid system to produce 197 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. The Swedish luxury carmaker offered an 8-speed automatic transmission with its incredibly powerful engine.

Many reports already indicated that Volvo might discontinue the petrol version of the XC40 SUV, all because the automaker noticed a positive response for its XC40 Recharge SUV.

The Volvo XC40 Recharge, the electric version of Volvo XC40, boasts two electric motors capable of producing 402 bhp and 660 Nm of torque, enabling it to sprint 0-100 kmph in 4.9 seconds. The EV gets a reliable 79 kWh battery pack that ensures a maximum range of 418 km. Volvo claims that the battery can be charged 10-80% in 28 minutes with the fast charging system.
