BMW M5 Highlights
BMW M5 is one of the most eye-catching luxury cars, currently running on Indian roads. It looks very similar to the 5 Series and is available in only one version in India. Externally, the majestic four-door sedan sports an aggressive chin and chiselled vents on the front fenders. The distinctive kidney grille of M5 comes with all-black configuration, and it remains flanked on both sides by two sleek adaptive LED headlights. The rear end of M5 has LED tail lamps, turn indicators, and courtesy lights imparting a grand look to the vehicle. The German automaker has constructed the sedan with lightweight materials like the carbon fibre roof and aluminium bonnet resulting in 15 kg reduction in total weight than the outgoing model.
Similar to the exterior, BMW has also crafted the interior of M5 with premium materials befitting upscale customers. The sedan comes with illuminated M logo on the luxurious headrest of seats, red switchgear, and comfortable seats with enough leg and shoulder room that even a six-footer will not gasp for space in the cabin. The car also remains equipped with Bowers and Wilkins speakers and intuitive iDrive system with gesture control making driving fun. Beating at the heart of BMW M5 is a BS-VI compliant, 8-cylinders, 4395cc, M Twin-Power turbo petrol motor. The mighty powertrain churns out an impressive 616 bhp @ 6000 rpm, and 750 Nm @ 1800 rpm peak torque. An 8-speed automatic gearbox sends power to the wheels, and it can sprint to 100 kmph in just 4.2 seconds. Finally, M5 is one of the fastest sedans in India with grand looks.
