Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid

Latest Update: The Maruti Swift Hybrid is already available in many international markets, including Japan and select European markets. While the Maruti Suzuki Swift hybrid version was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020, there is no official confirmation on when the model will launch in India. However, some market experts anticipated that Maruti could debut this flagship hatchback in Q3 or Q4 of 2025. It is important to note that the Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid has already been spotted multiple times testing on Indian roads. One of the Swift Hybrid test mules was spied on in the Delhi-NCR area, hinting that the automaker is evaluating the performance and practicality for Indian customers.

Exterior Design
Swift Hybrid will likely feature an identical exterior design to its ICE counterpart. While the design dimensions will be the same, the model will get some hybrid-specific badging and other highlights to make it stand out. There could also be a slightly tweaked front fascia, new-design alloy wheels, hybrid badging, and additional elements on the rear part.

Features
In the international markets, the Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid offers a range of features like ventilated front seats, cruise control, and steering-mounted paddle shifters. The model also includes a 9-inch infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a satellite navigation system. The hybrid variant of the Suzuki Swift also comes mated with a wireless charging unit, a digital speedometer, an auto engine start or stop function and keyless entry. If the model launches in India, it will likely carry most of these features.

Powertrain
Under the hood, the Suzuki Swift Hybrid hatchback gets a single electric motor paired with a 1.2-liter petrol engine and battery pack. The 1.2-liter petrol engine produces 91PS and 118 Nm of peak torque, whereas the electric motor provides an additional 13.5PS and 30 Nm of torque. Maruti Suzuki offers a 5-speed automatic transmission unit with a paddle shifter option.

Price & Rivals
Maruti Swift Hybrid price in India is expected to range around Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom. Under this budget range and segment, the Swift Hybrid has no direct rival, but it will surely get competition from established hatchback cars like the Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20, and Toyota Glanza.
