A significant change in the BS6 emission standards mandates that powertrains meet RDE requirements starting in April 2023. If demand allows, the majority of sub 2.0L engines are allegedly rebuilt to conform

Hyundai i20 N Line appears to be undergoing testing for compliance as the deadline for RDE requirements approaches.2023-hyundai-i20-n-line-spied-cng-test-launch

The Grand i10 NIOS and Aura are currently available with CNG from the South Korean brand. Having said that, Maruti Suzuki's CNG lineup is more extensive than Hyundai's. A significant change in the BS6 emission standards mandates that powertrains meet RDE requirements starting in April 2023. If demand allows, the majority of sub 2.0L engines are allegedly rebuilt to conform. If not, these cars will be eliminated. 17 automobiles are scheduled for elimination soon.

We are reviewing the CNG and RDE standards with you for a good reason. A Hyundai i20 N Line test mule equipped with emission testing gear has been seen driving. On Test By ARAI was written on the sticker. This i20 N Line test mule may be a current model or a CNG variation doing compliance testing under impending RDE conditions.

2023 i20 N Line CNG

2023 i20 N Line CNG from Hyundai It makes sense to offer a CNG bi-fuel option on entry-level hatchbacks and cheap automobiles. Recent years have seen a paradigm shift in the automotive bubble because to growing fuel prices and environmental awareness. Currently, CNG technology is being used in everything from premium hatchbacks to premium MPVs to even small SUVs.

Even Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20 appear to be hopping on the bandwagon after Baleno and Glanza set the pattern in the premium hatchback segment. Hyundai aims to position the Hyundai i20 N Line as a fun option to competitors with non-turbo engines, as suggested by recent spy photos showing the vehicle with emission testing equipment.

Hyundai's factory-fitted CNG variants currently cost between Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 1.10 lakh for the Aura and NIOS. With i20 N Line CNG models, a similar pricing strategy is also to be anticipated. I20 N Line prices range from Rs. 10 lakh for the base N6 iMT model to Rs. 12.11 lakh for the top-of-the-line N8 DCT model. With CNG, a price increase of up to Rs. 10.1 lakh is anticipated. RDE Norms 2023 Hyundai is likely to modify its nimble 1.0L engine to conform with the higher, more stringent RDE requirements under phase II of the BS6 transition. The 1.5L diesel option for the Hyundai i20 is already confirmed to be discontinued. Numerous Hyundai vehicles, including the Venue, i20, NIOS, Aura, Verna, and its sister brand, Kia Sonet, use the 1.0L turbocharged 3-cylinder engine.

Hyundai's decision to maintain the 1.0L turbo-petrol engine while implementing new, tougher pollution regulations that will go into effect in April 2023 makes sense. In the Hyundai i20 N Line, its 998 cc engine produces 172 Nm of torque and about 120 horsepower. Either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT is connected to this engine. A facelift for the 2023 Hyundai i20 is currently undergoing testing.
