Audi India Opens Bookings For All-New Audi Q3 Sportback

The top German auto manufacturer, Audi, has opened bookings for the sportier version of the ‘New Generation’ Q3 SUV in the Indian market on Monday, 6th Feb 2023.

The standard Q3 SUV was launched last year and now there is a Sportback variant, which aims to cater to a wider segment of buyers. The new Audi Q3 Sportback will be a practical choice for the buyers with its sporty and elegant look. 

Booking Process

The new Audi Q3 Sportback SUV can be booked with a token amount of Rs. 2 Lakhs. People can visit the Audi India website (www.audi.in) and the 'myAudi connect' App for online bookings. This coupe SUV can also be pre-booked by visiting the nearest Audi dealership.

Price

Audi Q3 Sportback is a 5 seater Coupe available at a price of ₹ 51.43 Lakh. 

Variant

The new Q3 has three variants on offer - Premium Plus (Rs 44.89 lakh), Technology (Rs 50.39 lakh) and Technology S-Line (Rs 51.43 lakh, for Sportback).  The prices mentioned here are Ex-showroom.

Mileage

Audi Q3 in India is available in Petrol variant and the average mileage of Audi Q3's petrol variant is 14.93 km/l. The Audi Q3 Sportback is the quickest in its segment and moves from 0-100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds.

Engine

With the new Audi, there is no diesel engine on offer. The Audi Q3 Sportback is powered by a 2.0 L TFSI petrol engine that generates 190 hp and 320 Nm of torque is meted out with incredible precision via a 7-speed dual-clutch auto and standard AWD.

Transmission

The Q3 Sportback is available with 1 engine-transmission combination- 1.5L turbo petrol with 7-speed Automatic (DCT).

Other Specifications

Other key specifications of the Q3 Sportback include a Kerb Weight of 1705 kg and Boot Space of 530 litres.

Colour

AUDI Q3 Sportback will be available in five exterior colour options- Turbo Blue, Glacier White, Mythos Black, Chronos Grey and Navarra Blue and two interior colour options - Okapi Brown, Pearl Beige. The striking Turbo Blue paint shade is exclusive to this version.

Design

It has a far more aggressive front and rear bumpers along with big brushed silver trim inserts, a hexagonal mesh pattern with more brushed silver elements rather than the vertical chrome slats in the standard SUV. The five-twin-spoke design for the 18-inch alloy wheels is a treat for the eyes. It has the sloping roof but the execution is perhaps not quite as graceful as larger coupe SUVs like the Q8 or e-tron Sportback. It will dominate on the road as the Q3 Sportback has a much more elegant look than the other SUVs on sale right now.

Features

The front half of the cabin is identical to the Q3 SUV and has a smart and modern design with some interesting shapes and surfaces, wrapped in high-quality materials at every touch point. The buyers will get an option to choose from brown or beige upholstery.

It has  powered front seats, fully featured infotainment, digital dial screens and dual-zone climate control. There is gesture-controlled powered tailgate, wireless phone charger and a 10-speaker sound system. 

The back seat is less spacious when compared to the regular SUV. Owing to their larger overall size, coupe SUVs from higher segments don’t feel compromised in the back seat, whereas in Q3 you have to duck a bit to get in. Once you occupy the seat you can feel that the headroom will be tight for taller passengers. But there is good leg-room, plenty of thigh support and the seats are very comfortable. Amazingly, Audi has the same 530-litre boot space for the Sportback as the regular Q3, and though usable storage space isn’t quite as much, it’s still quite a lot. And also, there is a space saver spare tyre that is tucked under the floor.

Rivals

Mini Cooper Convertible, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Mini Cooper SE, Jaguar XE, Audi Q3, Mini John Cooper Works, Audi A4, Volvo S60, Toyota Camry, BMW X1 will be the top competitors for Audi Q3 Sportback.

The standard Audi Q3 rivals the Mercedes-Benz GLA, Volvo XC40, and the BMW X1.
