MG Comet EV Deliveries Commenced

MG started delivering its Comet EV, a two-door ultra-compact electric car. The customers have been allowed to book Comet EV since May 15, confirming that the starting prices will be applicable for a limited number of orders.

Tata Motors has expanded its CNG portfolio with the launch of Altroz iCNG. The new Altroz packs twin-cylinder technology and several first-in-segment features. Moreover, many reports said that Indian Armed Forces had shown interest in the upcoming Jimny in the Indian market.

Mahindra Officially Announced the Expected Launch of the 5-door Thar

Mahindra 5-door Thar will not be launched in CY23. In a given statement, Mahindra’s Auto and Farm Sector CEO Rajesth Jerurikar said the company would unveil its 5-door Mahindra Thar in CY24. The expected ex-showroom price for the base variant of the 5-door Thar can range from Rs 13 lakh to Rs 15 lakh.

Mercedes-Benz and Nissan Car Launches in India

Regarding new launches in the Indian automotive sector, Mercedes-Benz unveiled facelifted A-Class Limousine sedan and AMG A45 S high-performance hatchback car. Nissan also launched its Geza Edition Magnite SUV, which will be available in limited numbers.

About four spy shots were covered last week, hinting at the launch of some of the most awaited SUVs. Interestingly two spy shots were from Mahindra & Mahindra and two from Tata Motors. According to industry reports, a 5-door Thar was spied on during a road test in India. In contrast, the latest test mule of the XUV300 facelift was also spotted. From Tata, Nexon EV facelifts were spied on in India, and Safari’s spy shot was captured in South Korea.
