Maruti Brezza CNG to Launch Soon; Bookings Now Open

Maruti Suzuki has initiated pre-bookings for the Brezza CNG variant, set to release soon after its unveiling at the 2023 Auto Expo. The car utilizes the same 1.5L K15C petrol engine with a factory-fitted CNG kit, producing a slightly lower 88PS and 121.5Nm of torque compared to the regular petrol model's 102bhp and 137Nm.

However, the Brezza CNG will offer better mileage, with a fuel efficiency of 27km/kg compared to the regular model's 19.80kmpl and 20.15kmpl with automatic and manual transmission, respectively.

According to leaked information, Maruti Suzuki plans to equip all Brezza variants with a CNG kit. The car will be available in seven CNG versions: CNG LXI 5MT, CNG VXI 5MT/6AT, CNG ZXI 5MT/6AT, and CNG ZXI 5MT/6T. The car will feature both manual and automatic transmission options, but the CNG kit will consume some boot space since it will be factory-fitted.

The design and interior of the Maruti Brezza CNG remain unchanged. The car features a 9.0-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, Alexa compatibility, voice command support, ambient lighting, wireless charging, connected car technology, rear AC vents, a 360-degree parking camera, an Arkamys sound system, USB Type-C and Type-A rear charging ports, hill hold assist, electronic stability program, and six airbags, among other features.

In addition to the Brezza CNG, Maruti Suzuki has planned to launch two other vehicles, the Fronx compact crossover and the Jimny 5-door SUV. The Fronx will be available in showrooms starting in April, while the Jimny lifestyle SUV will be released in May. The company also plans to launch its first Toyota re-badged model, a 7-seater hybrid MPV based on the Innova Hycross, during the 2023 festive season, according to reports.
