Maruti Suzuki Fronx Export Started , First Batch Shipped

Maruti Suzuki India today announced the start of deliveries of the new Fronx The first batch of 556 units was exported from the ports of Mundra, Mumbai and Pipawav to points in Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.

The company currently exports 17 models, including the Swift, Baleno, Swift Dzire, Brezza and Grand Vitara, to nearly 100 countries in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Maruti delivered its first batch of 500 vehicles to Hungary in September 1987.High export volume was achieved thanks to the support of the parent company Suzuki Motor Corporation, which enabled Maruti to be included in the international distribution network, and the addition of several models.

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx was launched in India in April at a price of Rs 7.46 lakhs to Rs 13.13 lakhs (showroom). Its competitors include the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet, among others. The Fronx has several engine options: a 1.2-liter Dual-Jet Dual-VVT benzin (89,73 PS/113 Nm) and a 1.0-liter Turbo Boosterjet benzin (100,06PS/147,6Nm).

The 1.2-liter model has a 5-speed MT and 5-speed AMT option, while the 1.0-litre model has a 5-speed MT and 6-speed AT option. Including the Fronx, Maruti currently sells four SUVs in India, the other three being the Brezza, Jimny and Grand Vitara.
