BMW X4 Highlights
The BMW X4 is a distinctive X-series member thanks to its Coupe-like stance. The German auto giant produces it locally at the Chennai Plant keeping in tune with the “Make in India” commitment. You can purchase the coupe in two diesel variants- BMW X4 xDrive20d M Sport X and BMW X4 xDrive30d M Sport X, and in one petrol configuration- BMW X4 xDrive30i M Sport X. Similar to X3 and X5 siblings, X4 also remain based on the popular CLAR (cluster architecture) platform. The aluminium-intense construction helps in about 50 kg weight savings without comprising on the performance. The front face of X4 features the traditional design language, and sports a large kidney grille, stylish trapezoidal headlamps, and low slung roofline. At the rear end, you get a massive athletic shoulder, wrap-around taillamps, and twin exhausts.
The cabin of X4 gets decked up with premium leather upholstery, a sizeable electrically operated panoramic glass roof, and three-zone automatic climate control. BMW has taken care of the safety of riders by installing six airbags, cornering brake control, Isofix child seat mounts, dynamic stability and traction control, and tyre pressure indicator. Beating at the heart of the X4xDrive30d variant is a 3-litre six-cylinder diesel motor generating an impressive 261 bhp and 620 Nm @ 2000 - 2500 rpm peak torque.
