1. Maruti Suzuki
Maruti Suzuki once again dominated the passenger vehicle sales in February 2026. The Indian automotive giant clinched Rank 1 with 1,61,000 units in FY2026, maintaining 0.1% Y-o-Y growth. However, the brand held a 39% market share with a 4.0% dip.
The sales were driven by hatchbacks like WagonR, Swift, Baleno, and the bestselling Maruti Dzire sedan. SUVs like Brezza added firepower, helping consolidate leadership across segments despite competition. This resilience cements Maruti's grip on budget-conscious buyers.
2. Tata Motors
Tata Motors secured the second spot on the list with 62,329 units sold in February 2026. These sales figures were more than those of 46,437 units sold in February 2025, showing 34.2% Y-o-Y growth. Tata Nexon led SUVs at 19,430 units, while 2026 Tata Punch closed behind, fueled by safety features and an EV push. These models outpace many rivals in the budget-centric market.
