Mahindra has launched the 2024 XUV400 Pro in India. It is available in two different variants i.e. EC pro and EL pro. The EC pro is the base variant and the EL pro is the top variant. Key Highlights
Introduction
XUV400 is currently the only electric model from the Indian SUV maker. Basically, it is an XUV300 with a 4.2 m long body instead of the sub 4 meter one in the XUV300. Based on the same XUV300 platform, which is actually based on SangYong Tivoli, the XUV400 can be categorized as the long wheelbase version of XUV300 or the electric version of Tivoli. This results in more legroom in the second row and a much bigger boot space when compared to XUV300.
Exterior and Design
When compared to the XUV300, the XUV400 comes with a closed top grille in the front. Moreover, the closed front top grille also comes with copper coloured X embossment. Other design elements remain almost the same as the XUV300.
Battery & Motor
Mahindra offers 2 battery pack options in XUV400. The lower one is the EC variant with 34.5 kWh battery and the upper one is the EL variant with option for 34.5 kWh or 39.5 kWh battery pack. Both the variants come with same motor that can generate 150 PS of power and 310 Nm of torque, propelling the e-SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.3 seconds.
Interior and Features
In the interior, the XUV400 gets more leg room and boot space than XUV300. Also, after the latest update, it now offers segment best features like a 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system with AdrenoX IoT connected car tech, 10.25 inch drivers display, rear AC vents, dual zone auto AC, auto dimming IRVM, wireless charger with wireless android auto/apple carplay, Alexa integration, etc.

Dimension
The electric SUV offers best in class width of 1821 mm and best in class wheelbase of 2600 mm. The length of the e-SUV stands at 4200 mm and its height measures 1634 mm. Also, the boot space is much bigger than XUV300 at 378 litres.
Variants and Colours
Mahindra offers XUV400 in 6 monotone colours and 1 dual tone colour with copper colour roof. Also, you have the choice to go with either EC pro variant or the EL pro variant.
Segment and Rivals
Its main rival is Tata Nexon.EV. However, it also competes with MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric to some extent.
